Two fundamental aspects of Calvinism are critical to understand:

1) The foundational core of Calvinism is EXHAUSTIVE DIVINE DETERMINISM (EDD) as enunciated within the doctrine of decrees.

The creatures…are so governed by the secret counsel of God, that *NOTHING HAPPENS* but what he has knowingly and willingly decreed. (Institutes 1, 16, 3)

Consequently – the state of nature (including man’s nature) at every nano-second in time – is 100% meticulously predestined and FIXED by infallible decree. And cannot be otherwise than what it was decreed to infallibly be.

Accordingly- the human brain cannot have one single impulse that was not first conceived at the foundation of the world and MADE to come to pass infallibly. Therefore in Calvinism man is not permitted the liberty of having an impulse in his brain that he can call his own.

2) Determinism (EDD) as you can see – is thus a very radical belief system. No human can logically embrace EDD -and at the same time retain any sense of human normalcy.

Because of the radical nature of Determinism (EDD) the Calvinist is forced to assert his doctrine as TRUE – while treating his doctrine *AS-IF* it is FALSE in order to retain a sense of human normalcy.

Once you become familiar with this aspect of Calvinism – you will find it is ubiquitous within Calvinist statements – such as the statement above.

Consequently – Calvinist language – has evolved into a highly equivocal, and strategically obfuscating language of double-speak designed to evade the very doctrine Calvinism is founded upon.

Case in point – is the statement quoted above.

Per EDD (the doctrine of decrees) – the reason any [X] comes to pass – is because that [X] was EXHAUSTIVELY DETERMINED (decreed to infallibly come to pass) at the foundation of the world. And that event cannot be otherwise than what it was decreed to infallibly be.

Where [X] equals John Doe rejecting Calvinism at TIME-T
It follows John Doe rejecting Calvinism at TIME-T was decreed to infallibly come to pass
Consequently – NO alternative impulse is granted existence within John Doe’s brain.
John Doe is granted NO Alternative but to reject Calvinism at TIME-T.
No alternative impulse within his brain is granted existence.

This is what the Calvinist must *OBFUSCATE*
So the Calvinist strategy of attributing John Doe’s rejection of Calvinism to John Doe’s reading of scripture – is the Calvinist’s way of *OBFUSCATING* the foundational core of his doctrine.

The reason the Calvinist strategically *OBFUSCATES* the foundational core of his doctrine is because he knows his doctrine is so radical that if he does not *OBFUSCATE* it – no Bible believing person will accept it.

Consequently – Calvinist language has evolved into a language of DOUBLE-SPEAK.
