Introduction
Rest. It’s something we all crave but rarely find in today’s fast-paced world. Our schedules are packed, our to-do lists never seem to shrink, and let’s not even get started on the endless stream of notifications from social media. It feels like the demands of life just keep coming, leaving us weary—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
But what if there was a better way? What if the rest we’re chasing can’t be found in another weekend getaway or crossing off everything on our to-do list? The truth is, real rest—the kind that refreshes your soul—comes from only one place: finding rest in God.
Jesus extends this life-changing invitation in Matthew 11:28–30:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
